Justine Skahan, artist and instructor at the VAC, will host a McClure Gallery Virtual Art Hive mini-workshop – March 27, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm. This free art hive event takes its inspiration from the exhibition currently on at the McClure Gallery, Waiting for Spring by Montreal artist Judith Berry.
Judith Berry’s paintings are worlds with an internal logic. They are a combination of architectural structures, natural elements, and organic forms. There is often a sense of movement, as though something important is going on within the universe of the painting. Using materials that can be found in their homes, participants in this 2-hour workshop will create their own universe based on these same elements.
