About the exhibition
Nora Hutchinson (Hamilton, Canadian b. 1951) occupies a key position in the evolution of video art and performance installation, contributing works while these artistic genres were very much in their infancy. This retrospective exhibition covers four decades of work, and features her film and video practice. Rooted in feminism and performativity, her evocative moving image works build on her theatrical and musical sensibilities.
